Bio

Dr. Jessica Applebaum joined Sycamore Veterinary Hospital in 2018 after graduating from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She was born and raised in Bucks County, and graduated from University of Delaware in 2014 with an Honors Bachelor of Science.

A Fear-Free Certified Professional, Dr. Applebaum endeavors to provide pets with comfortable and enjoyable experiences at the hospital. She is passionate about promoting the human-animal bond through quality medical and surgical care and enjoys building strong relationships with pets and their parents. In addition to treating dogs and cats, she enjoys working with pocket pets and small farm animals. She believes that preventative medicine is the best medicine.

Dr. Applebaum is a member of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians.

When not working, you can most likely find Dr. Applebaum outdoors hiking, camping, paddling, rock climbing, skiing or scuba diving. She enjoys bowling, board games, practicing the violin, and riding a unicycle. She has a border collie mix named Mabel, a cat named Mickey, and two guinea pigs named Malcolm and Dewey.

Pets are family, and she looks forward to helping you care for yours.
